Eligible children may be able to access dental treatment through the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) or their private health fund.

As preferred providers for HCF and Westfund, many eligible children can receive preventive dental care with no out-of-pocket costs, depending on their level of cover and available benefits.

For families with other health funds, we aim to keep children's dental care affordable through our discounted children's pricing and simple capped fees. If your health fund benefit doesn't cover the full cost, you'll only pay the difference up to the capped amount.

Before any treatment begins, we'll explain your available health fund benefits, any applicable fees and answer any questions, so there are no surprises.

A child's first dental visit is all about creating a positive experience and helping them feel comfortable in the dental environment.

From the moment they arrive, children and their families are welcomed by our magical Tooth Fairy Door. Loved by patients young and old, it adds a little excitement before the appointment even begins and helps make visiting the dentist something to look forward to.

During the appointment, we'll gently introduce your child to the dental chair, count their teeth, check their oral health and explain everything in an age-appropriate way. We also take the time to answer any questions and provide parents with practical advice to support healthy smiles at home.

At Junction Village Dental, we use Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) with EMS Airflow as part of our preventive care wherever appropriate.

This modern approach uses warm water, fine powder and air to gently remove plaque (biofilm), surface stains and early calculus, providing a comfortable and effective clean for patients of all ages.

Guided Biofilm Therapy can help support healthier teeth and gums while making dental cleans a more pleasant experience.

If orthodontic concerns are identified, we can assess your smile and provide referrals to trusted orthodontic specialists for further evaluation.

For your convenience, we have an on-site digital OPG and Lateral Cephalometric (Lat Ceph) X-ray machine and CBCT (cone beam), allowing us to take the images commonly required for your orthodontic consultation. This means you can often have your records completed in one visit, saving you additional trips to an external imaging provider and helping streamline your referral.
