Meet Dr Peter Holgate (Dentist)
Dr Peter Holgate graduated from the University of Sydney in 2010 with a Bachelor of Dentistry. Since then, he has worked as a general dentist across both public and private practices in Sydney, Hobart, Tamworth and Gunnedah.
In 2017, Peter returned to Sydney to take on a role as a Prosthodontic Registrar at Westmead Hospital, where he developed a strong interest in complex rehabilitation cases and orofacial pain management. He later completed a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Advanced Restorative) at the University of Sydney.
Peter then relocated to Brisbane with his wife and children to support her specialty training in Endodontics at the University of Queensland. He also enjoys teaching and mentoring, and has supported new graduates and dentists across many aspects of dentistry.
Now settled in Newcastle, Peter is excited to join the team at Junction Village Dental and become part of the local community.

Peter understands that visiting the dentist can feel daunting. He takes pride in providing gentle, calm and compassionate care, and always aims to help patients feel comfortable, listened to, and well-informed throughout their treatment.
Life Outside the Clinic
Outside of work, Peter loves crafts and hobbies, and enjoys spending time with his family—including their dogs, Waffle and Kona—especially at the beach.
